Ah yes, the annual spectacular from google,
Im not joking though, the model is on AVSIM, along with some paints. The 757 with 4 engines is merely aardvark humour.
Its pretty real looking in the sim, aardvark genuinely release actual models every april 1st

Yeah, eagerly awaiting that paintkit and any further DC-8 developments. To quote David R on the paintkit:
At least it's in the works. How many retro DC-8-70s will need to be painted anyway? At the moment the two main ones I can think of are Transamerica and ONA (aside from all the obvious cargo machines).

All the obvious April Fool's jokes aside, this looks nothing like a DC-8 and if anyone thinks it does, you better grab your nearest phone directory and look under "O", as in "Optometrist"...that is, of course, assuming you can still see well enough to read the phone directory. Until AIA releases a REAL DC- 8, I'll stick with Dee's models, thanks.

Kristopher, I think you've mistaken the 4-engined 757 made as an April Fool's joke for the real DC-8-71 and -73 models. That's what I was referring to, the picture. I know it was a joke. I don't have the real models, since I no longer have FS on this computer

Oh, and be glad I was so busy yesterday and never got around to pulling my April Fool's prank - I was going to put up a dummy index page on the site announcing our shutdown following an announcement here that I could no longer continue doing the site. ;D

It's a very nice looking bird - I just wish they would hang some proper engines on it... and maybe introduce us to its shorter sisters ;D

Why don't you put FS back on your computer instead? Gee, I never thought of that...thanks. Maybe I'll just shut down the site and blame it on my inability to reinstall WS-FTP. Yeah, that's sarcasm - I don't have it right now because the install got corrupted and when I went to reinstall, one of the CDs had a nice scratch across it, so no dice there. But, a new copy is on order and should be here in the next few days. Seriously, do you think I could live without FS?

I broke down and bought FSX as well - I doubt I'll use it for more than testing purposes for now, though.

From reading the FSX thread over at CalClassics, I wish you luck and a fast computer!
I'm not about to give up FS9, esp. since I got a new rig that gives me at last decent frame rates...

My laptop is lacking for FSX power, but my desktop? Dell XPS 400 with a 3.2 GB Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, ATI Radeon HD 3670 GPU, and two 1 TB Western Digital SATA HDDs running in a RAID 1...ya think I got it covered? ;D
