I'm working on some Latin America retro 1970's traffic files and sure could use some ai BAC 1-11 repaints. Dave Maltby's flyable 1-11 is sure a FR hog. Needed are: LANICA Aviateca-Guatemala TACA Here's TACA: www.airliners.net/open.file/0825919/M/ I have to look for the others, but you can find re-paints of Dave Maltby's model on Avsim to get an idea of Aviateca and Lanica. Thanks, Andy

Hi Andy. That's not a good example as its an Eagle Air 720 which was on lease to Air Malta so it still has the Air Malta cheat line and only basic Aviateca titles. If you can wait a few months there will be a new series of AI 1-11s, which is the next model after the " " I'm working on at the moment. Paul

I have a great photo of an Aviateca 1-11 in the book "Vintage Colors" - basically it's the yellow/orange Court Line scheme. Aviateca bought the plane after Court Line's demise and left it pretty much alone - jsut removing the Court Line titles and applying their own. Because it's a copyrighted image from a book, I can't post it, but if you take the Court Line scheme, remove their titles and add "Aviateca - Guatemala" in a blue bolded italic Arial Narrow above the windows. you pretty much have it.

Its a completely new AI model.

Then I would suggest looking at the Maltby repaints on Avsim. I don't think I should post the pix here because they were uploaded to Avsim for their own purposes. A seach for "Aviateca BAC" should pull it up. Same for LANICA. Andy

I also have several piccies in 1-11 books of the ex OU 1-11's that Aviateca had. OU also ran LIAT, and they used pink 1-11's and 748's. I have the book "Colours in the Sky" which is the story of Autair and Courtline. It has reduced BAC and Lockheed drawings for the Court schemes so the pastel shades will fly again for AI. BTW the Court TriStars were the first planes that I painted for FS 5 all those years ago. 1995 I think!!............... showing my age! Paul
