I was hoping someone could bring the early Seventies to my United Air Lines fleet with the red, white and blue "stars and bars" scheme. EVAI has a DC-10 already in this livery, but it would sure be nice to see the same on the DWAI DC-8s and AIA 727-100/200s, 747-100s and 737-200s at O'Hare and Denver!
Some of these planes actually flew in these colors as late as 1979, as I recall!
If anyone is able to bring these planes out of the hangar, it would be greatly appreciated by this retro enthusiast!
Best regards! Greg in Phoenix

Hello,
I had a DC-8-50 and DC-8-61, so cleaned them up and posted them to AVSIM. They should be available pretty soon.
Take care, Kurt

OK, I forgot I'd also done the Aardvark 727-100, so now it's uploaded to AVSIM. Never did make it over to the 727-200 or 737, though.
Take care, Kurt

Hi Guys.
If I remember correctly they call that the Friendship scheme.

There is a Aarvark 727-200 United in original paint without the stars out already I think I downloaded it from Avsim about a year ago. If you need it I can send it to you

Thanks for uploading those repaints to Avsim, Kurt! They're great and really bring back the Friendly Skies in the Seventies! If anybody wants to add the 747-122 to the mix, it would help to bring Honolulu back in time! Best regards, Greg in Phoenix!

Hello,
The DC-8 Freighter can be done fairly easily since mostly it's a matter of blanking out windows and changing the wording on the side of the airplane. The problem is that I need some photos. There was only one "Friendship" photo that I saw on airliners.net and it was partial.
Let me see if I can come up with an Aardvark 747. I haven't done much painting in several months - it's one of those things I need to be in the mood for.
Take care, Kurt
