Thank you very much for this awesome package. Will be quite a sight to see the lineup of world tails at LHR's T4.

Hello everyone, Here is the next series of paintings. The B747-200s are completed. Thanks to FSMuseum for helping me with the Blomsterang livery! I will slowly prepare the files and make them available during the week through Nils' cloud. Next up will be painting the B767-300s and probably I will also paint the few B747-100s that were still flying in the late 90s. (updated pictures: 05.08.2024) G-BDXA "City of Peterborough" G-BDXB "Union Jack" G-BDXB "Union Jack" Dreamflight G-BDXC "City of Manchester" G-BDXD "Blue Poole" G-BDXE "City of Glasgow" G-BDXF "City of York" G-BDXG "Blomsteräng" G-BDXH "City of Elgin" Dreamflight G-BDXI "City of Cambridge" G-BDXJ "City of Birmingham" G-BDXK "Chelsea Rose" G-BDXL "City of Winchester" G-BDXM "City of Derby" G-BDXN "City of Stoke on Trent" G-BDXO "Paithani" G-BDXO "City of Bath" (The World's Biggest Offer) G-BDXP "City of Salisbury" Have a great day, Marc

The BA Landor 747-200 will always be my top aircraft/livery combo. Double-check me for the World Tails, but BA deactivated doors 3L/3R for the Landor aircraft. The Club World sections were expanded on those aircraft, but since the seat count was lower, the exits weren't required. It also allowed BA to save on weight by removing the much larger and heavier overwing escape slide. Those aircraft lead directly to a longer but interesting story about how differing CAA/FAA approvals for the number of exits and the distance between exits led to design changes with the A340-600 and the resale of L1011-500 aircraft. www.pprune.org/archive/index.php/t-98110.htmlLong way of saying - you can turn off the exit outline and remove the stencils for those doors.

G-BMGS - 747-283 with PW and three windows upper deck G-BLVE/F: series 200M with PW G-HUGE: series 200M with GE
G-AWND
Really love this Landor paints.

Hello Gentlemen, Thank you very much for your feedback. I will make the necessary corrections before releasing them. sierraair: Thanks for the informations, the B747-200s 3L + 3R doors are corrected. sunking: Basically, I set out to paint only the aircraft from the fleet around the years 1997-2000. Now that the base of the painting is done, I'm going to see what I can do. Being a big lover of Landor liveries, it is quite possible that I will make them. Just for guidance, can you tell me if on all B747-100s and B747-200s, the size of the "British Airways" logo has always been the same? Have a great day, Marc

Hello everyone, Here I am again with some news. You will find in my posts with the B747-200s RR, the photos with the correction of the 3L + 3R doors. Additionally I added "The World's Biggest Offer" livery and I modify the "Dreamflight" livery too. Below you will find the B747-100s, B747-200 GE and PW. Let me know if any errors remain before I package them. And if I forgot an essential livery, I'll happily paint it! Wonderful work on all of these. You have a real talent! If you're feeling adventurous, BA painted G-GLYN and G-HUGE in a hybrid scheme around the time of the merger, and they lasted about a year. I've yet to figure out exactly why they created the hybrid scheme. My best guesses are either there was some delay in transitioning landing rights to British Airways after the merger, so they continued to use the BCal name in the interim -OR- the aircraft were due for repaint before the merger officially happened, so they did what Northwest/Republic did and painted the aircraft in transitional colors. www.flickr.com/photos/157839500@N04/49216547986/A while back, I stumbled across the BA Brand Guide from the time, and it includes a page of characters that don't appear in the standard BA logo, if it's helpful. Fantastic work on all of these BA 747s so far! I was wondering if the late 1998 G-AWNA partial BOAC livery is going to be painted as I'd quite like to see it done on the FAIB model even if (as far as I know) it never flew any commercial flights in it due to being painted just before its retirement from the fleet. The livery in question can be found here: www.airhistory.net/photo/202932/G-AWNA

Many thanks for your comment! Here is the 1998 G-AWNA with the BOAC livery. I'll include it in the final package. G-AWNA "BOAC" Marc

I really appreciate what youve done and especially by adding the additional variations. May I ask why G-AWND is not inside, as it'd have been a good idea to commemorate her vitae and tragic end. I have very special bounds with their 747s as I had the pleasure on flying the first series 400 delivered, namely G-BNLC -she is inside the pack in delivery and final livery? Haven't had time to check it yet.
Thanks again.
Kind regards.
