Hello folks. I thought I'd bring this up since I've been looking for answers regarding this and haven't found any. In case any of you folks that make AI aircraft are in the know and are around. I was wondering this since most of the AI aircraft in PAI or WOIA can be turned invisible within the UI. Thus making it not pile up in the aircraft selection menu when all you want are non-AI aircraft.
So as I mentioned in the title how does one make this happen if you happen to have an AI aircraft that didn't come with those special packages with PAI or WOIA? Does it have anything to do with the .air file of the aircraft? And if so what entry should I be looking for to make it not be seen?
Thanks ahead for those that know and can help this person. I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting to know this.

Hello Ed, The toggle to make aircraft disappear in the UI "Aircraft" menu is in the .air file. You can switch it on or off with AirEd ( library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004util&DLID=89432). Just set the "aircraft type" parameter value to 2 for invisible or to 0 for visible. (make a backup first and save before exit) Exit runway when able Christian

Thanks for the quick reply. I knew it had to be somewhere in the air file. Just not sure where. Thanks again.

Doubleclick on the air file. If asked, point to Air Ed to open, check the box that indicates to open every Air file with Air Ed. I think that is the way to edit.

I've been editing Air files for a long time already and have Air Ed as my default program to edit those air files. Thanks anyway for the tip.

Btw. For those using FSX: remove the panel-folder and away it goes

Another option if anyone's interested is BBQhideai by Alan Chan, file bbqhideai.zip at AVSIM.
