Hello! I am new to this site. I have ben searching the web for eons looking for eons it seams looking for no longer flying ai airlines to add to my simulator. I found RetroAi finally. I am aware of applications for Projectai files to my simulator. Files on this site, have thrown me a stumbling block. I can view files, but am unaware of proper method for installation of fies on my simulator??? Is there some sort of installer file? Proper directions would be greatly wanted to further continue my addition of my AI world. It is soooo kewel. Please send me notes and info? Many thanx, Ferm

Hello Ferm and welcome! We unfortunately don't have "packages" and installers à la WoAI for the simple reason that suitable AI aircraft and/or repaints are sometimes not available. That's the bad news. The good news is that flightplan installation is actually quite straightforward: all you need is Lee Swordy's Traffic Tools available on Avsim: library.avsim.net/esearch.php?CatID=fs2004ai&DLID=34731 . Our flightplans zips include at least three files: aircraft(something).txt, airports(something).txt and flightplans(something).txt. "(something)" is the same for all three files. If you look at the aircraft(something).txt file, you'll see which aircraft models and livery are required. For instance, the Northeast (US) 1970 zip aircraft.txt file is: AC#1,200, "Northeast FH-227" AC#2,200, "Northeast B727-291" AC#3,200, "Northeast B727-95" AC#4,200, "Northeast DC-9-31" That means you would have to get (usually on Avsim) 4 aicraft: a FH-227, B727-200, B727-100 and DC-9-30. The downloads on Avsim or Flightsim.com are supposed to include installation instructions and a contact e-mail. Here's a tutorial on aircraft installation: www.simviation.com/acinstall.htmOnce you would have installed the aircraft, you would then copy the EXACT aircraft name (right after "title=" in the aircraft.cfg) into the flightplans' aircraft.txt file. You would then use TrafficTools to compile the three files (aircraft(something).txt, airport(something).txt and flightplans(something).txt), go to an airport where you'd be supposed to see those aircraft (I'd suggest KBOS for Northeast), sit back and enjoy the view Give it a try and post back here if you can't make it work: we'll help as much as we can. Exit runway when able Christian

One note to be careful of on the FH-227 or F-27A. There is a new version & an old one by Dee. Make sure you have the textures for the right version. Check the texture folder and if the NE texture say fh227t.bmp they are for the old one, and if they have f27a_ai_t.bmp they are for the new one. I found out after about 2 hours messing with the Ozark F-27....
