Further to yesterday: I don’t think it’s a driver issue. I’ve had smooth running when checking out China and Russia. It’s a problem endemic of North America, for now.

Further to my last: I have diagnosed it down to (potentially) the Eastern US. I’ve been looking around China, Japan, Russia, Hawaii, Alaska, and bits of the Western US - all to which no errors were presented. I’m going to try some bigger Western US cities and see if that presents any anomalies.
My apologies for these posts being a bit vague. I’m trying to keep bookmarks/notes on what I observe the sim doing. Once we find the definite problem, I’ll clean this thread out and rewrite it with more certain findings. That way, we’ll have notes for future generations.

I’m starting to notice a pattern here. On Windows 7, certain things can be missing and the sim isn’t affected - as far as I know. On Windows 10, however, if an effect file or related .cab file is missing, the sim starts acting weird. Anytime certain shockwave effects are employed (on my Windows 10 system), the sim throws a fit. I’ve replaced the potentially offending shockwave effects with others and the sim seems to like it. I had shockwave lights on AIG DC-9-30’s, CPAI Convairs, CPAI L-188’s… No wonder YIP was being troublesome.

Dude… Little bit of everybody visits my YIP setup. Zantop, USA Jet, Ameristar, several international airlines, prop jobs from BAK & PTK, Kitty Hawk… the list goes on. Took me a long time to figure out that the sim doesn’t like *not* having shockwave effects installed. There’s a .cab file that was missing and that’s what was causing the whiteouts.
