As promised a while back, I have edited the FSX ADE to add Chasen's Aeroquay object to work in this SIM (since the P3D file does not). The required files are on my Onedrive. This is to use with my 1979 flightplans (see links in the FP's page) You need to add the CYYZ file and the Object files which are seperate. Gate allocations have been added as best as I know for the retro period. Cool thanks, which sim did you fix them up for? Sadly as P3Dv5 is where they decided to modernize the default terminals and airport layouts after a decade, a lot of the scenery like MEM and DTW I was about to release does not work at all in P3Dv5 and needs to be re-done...

Sorry my post was not very clear - I edited them to work in FSX, using the Object files standalone and making the ADE match up to it. I think your original CYYZ was for P3D? I will edit it a little more as and when I get time, and update the file on the Onedrive as I go, to add some more fences and details and the like.

Just so you know, I will soon be releasing most of the other airports with versions beyond 1998. I will have 79/80ish versions of KATT, XDEN, EDMR, KSJC, KSMF, PHNL (FSDT), KDFW (FSDT + maybe a default), ZBAA, KMSP (FLIGHTBEAM), KLAS, KBUR (ORBX), KSNA, KLGB, and others in the initial releases.

(like you have for the CYYZ) as this makes it much easier for me to build the FSX ADE around them. thanks!!

Hmm, you mean for airports based off of the default, include the default/library objects used? Presumably they are default objects yes - but had they not been in a seperate object BGL file I would not have been able to use it - since the P3D version of ADE is not compatible with the FSX version, and it does not recognise any objects in those P3D files. However FSX Does recognise the objects

As it a bit strange the files do not open on my own ADE here.

Whatever the up to date version of ADE for P3Dv5 is, I'm using that.

As I have put whatever time I put into getting the retro world working in MSFS, and as I can run MSFS with amazing settings at high FPS but P3D (with its old scripts) locks up on me still with lots of AI traffic, I've decided to abandon P3D even though I've now lived months without seeing any retro AI traffic lol. While I still have dozens more airports to share, I have created a massive dump of what I could easily get together of some finished airports I never released (so consider this a "soft" release with no formal post, screenshots, history, etc), updates to previously released airports, and dozens and dozens of "BETA" versions of airports I either modified for my own use or never completed. A lot of them are retro, some are modern, but even the modern ones make the airports way more realistic parking-wise. Some airports only include ADE files, others are full airports I was making from scratch, and a few include files for payware airports to make them look like the 90s. Rapahel had converted several Brazilian airports to have proper 98 buildings and signage for the TropicalSim livery, and those are included (require the TropicalSim scenery to use). Now, all those closed airports that retro flightplans require will mostly exist. Main scenery links (includes unreleased airports and some updates): drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1LzyBnNQbRz5nIcyu4nJ3N4v5-anvC4zfBETA airports: drive.google.com/drive/u/1/folders/1MmLwkBD28FHdh4w29QGbZjwETt3cYLK7Again, a lot is still missing (for example, I couldn't find LGB or FRA and I made 8 versions of MCI and only 1 is included for now). There will be more updates in the future. I am not supporting these files anymore, BUT if you see an obvious mistake (a 98 file has modern parking or 80s parking for example; thus I labeled it wrong) that I can easily fix, I will. But I am not modifying any of these airports. I actually no longer have ADE for P3D working on my PC. In the case of unfinished projects like ZGGX, KSTL, etc, all I care about is that those airports are represented properly for those who decide to stick with P3D (and I can't blame you, MSFS is going to take years still to catch up with retro airports and traffic). So even though I've decided to switch over and start the long path of bringing the retro world to the modern sim (which gets harder with sim updates and not easier...), I invite anyone who wants to improve these airports to do so. Don't need to ask, just credit me and don't be an idiot and make them all fake and less realistic if you're going to do it. That's it. Feel free to finish any of these airports. After all, Kris Cook founded this site to create a community of freeware. Somewhere along the way, certain people let their egos inflate to a point where they feel they are better than everyone else and that their work is not to be improved upon ever by anyone, but don't let that take away from the fact that most of us who develop retro stuff only care about it being enjoyed by those who wish to use it. I hope someone out there decides to build upon these airports that still need some work. Though some of the BETA airports are really OK the way they are, I just didn't test them enough to call them a full release. Enjoy.

Added a few dozen payware airports, both modern and retro, to the Google Drive folder.
