Does anyone know why AIFP always shows a "model not found or invalid" every time I try to import the F27? Every other plane I have, imports with no problem. I'm using FS9.

Do either that, or I’ve noticed sometimes random planes just refuse to be picked up by AIFP, I think if you have enough in your files.

I've gone over it with a fine tooth comb. Checked the model, aircraft config etc before I posted and CPAI aircraft are the only ones that AIFP won't take. I guess, as noob says, it's one of those random aircraft that doesn't get picked up. Thanks for the help and suggestions!

It’s been a while since I’ve done it, but there’s a way to look through and try and brute force it, but I’ve also had planes where it’s genuinely not picked up by AIFP as well. Have you checked the fltsim numbers as well? Occasionally those get borked and you don’t notice.

The planes installed fine and I checked by changing the airfile visibility so I could see them in the aircraft menu. If I can't get them in it's not the end of the world. I'll just go with another plane. Thanks and cheers!

Thanks Jas, I tried it and still get the error message. It did show up in the aircraft list but it's useless as there is no radius info from the model.

The strangest thing is happening with the F-27 200 and 500 models suddenly when I try to view them in MCX after making a new paint.None of the textures want to render. Nor are any of th deliveries visible in the drop down menu. I haven't changed anything about the aircraft.cfg or file names of the textures what would cause this -- not in either model. In the sim (FSX), the model renders just fine, and any updates to textures are all there. But I can't see anything new I make in MCX before loading it into the sim and firing it up. Oddly, the FH-227 is just fine. I suppose I will have to make the new textures for the -227, view them in that plane for accuracy, and then adjust them to the F-27 length before loading them.
Also when I search for base model CPAI F-27s on both AVSIM and Flightsim nothing comes up anywhere. Where are these now? I tried finding them and starting fresh with each one to see if that would fix the issue but searches rendered nothing.
Anyone have any idea what could be happening here?

Hey Christian -- off topic -- but I just found your Viscount 700 NEO version, which is a nice improvement! But -- if I am not mistaken, it appears that each variation of the nose on any given model is the same short original nose -- with the exception of the radar_slippers model, which looks like it has the pointed, radar nose. Am I seeing this correctly? I believe this download was from flightsim. Would love to have the non-sliper tank version with the radar nose if it's anywhere to be found.

Do a search in FS2004 turboprops for this exact phrase -- they are all there but tricky to pin down:
Christian page f.27
You will have to carefully scroll through the results not to miss the original models. The new flightsim database is much more difficult to use than the previous version and desired targets can be pretty elusive.
