Hi guys. I wasn't sure where to post this so I've gone here. I've just made a Jetstar PK. The main reason being is I want to make some retro biz jet and biz prop stuff, "paints and plans" and package 'em up all nice an neat. But I'm not into incomplete things, so I would really like to paint all 190 active Jetstars of the 1983 era, and make representative plans for them all. I'm going to assume at least some people may be interested in such an endeavor? Also, even though I plan to paint them all myself, should any seasoned painter wish to speed things along by lending their digital paint brushes, that would be very much appreciated. Just shoot me a message on here. I could always use a hand at - the very least - at getting some generic liveries together as I'm not that creative myself. At first glance I would say about 140 to 150 of them I can find photographs of them for reference, but the others there is nothing. Cheers Sean

The one inherant issue with this model is that some thing were just not mapped when the model was made. For instance, the elevator has only one texture for both the top and the bottom. So there's no possibility of making the underside look darker. Same goes for the wing tanks. There's one outside and inside. So if any writing has to go there, then on one side it'll be backwards. Nothing I can do about that I'm afraid. So that's why this one is looking from this side as the other side, the USA is backwards.

Those are probably a bit later than I'll be focusing on. I have 190 rego's from 1983. That's what I'll be doing mainly. In saying that, I have just done what looks like a Southern one, but it was a reg earlier and missing the tail logo.

These Jetstar’s look amazing! If you don’t mind, I could add in the SAT logo and change the reg up on that one Jetstar and be happy as a clam. I wouldn’t publish it unless you’re ok with it.

That'd be just fine by me mate. You could publish it also. May as well let others play with it too. I'll just send you that one in an email as I'm not going to upload any of themyet, not until they're all done and in a complete package.

Some more Jetstars. The USAF one is the odd one out being a livery worn in the late 60's but I couldn't resist

I don't mind making plans for any of them that lived on to 1998, as I will eventually be doing 1998 general aviation anyway. If you have a good source of figuring out which jetstars were around in 1998, let me know and I'll see what I can do for you.

My efforts so far are ok at best I think. It's hard to come up airports for them to frequent without making them just go to the big well known airports. Here's a link to a production list of Jetstars and what years they had their regos. That's what I've been using to get data for '83. But the data it seems is more accurate towards the 90's and 2000's. www.planelist.net/rare-jets.zip

No. I've been making the flightplans for them lately in the little time I have. I'm pretty busy at the moment and am about to go on a holiday overseas for about a month in a couple of weeks so I won't be active until early November.
