Hi guys. Just wondering if anyone has found/made a Lockheed Jetstar paintkit for the Dee Waldron one at all?
I was just about to start making one for a potential retro project but didn't want to do it if it's already been done.
Cheers.

Maybe he’s got an updated .psd file?

Maybe he’s got an updated .psd file? Thanks for that. I've just had a look at those now, and it doesn't look like he'd made one for those. They're pretty bereft of detail. Makes sense though as there are bugger all Jetstars around anymore so why bother making a pk for just 5 repaints. That's ok though. I've started making one myself now. Huge learning curve. But it should make this little plan I have a bit easier to manage By the way, did you manage to have a crack at those Ipec plans at all?

Today was my 29th birthday - had to tend to a few plans made by the wife. I’ll get those IPEC FP’s drawn up tomorrow. I have a huge back-log of stuff to tend to. Got some cool paints to show you all as well.

Ah, well a good happy birthday to you sir There's no rush at all for those plans. Whenever you get around to it will be just fine. I'd do them myself but I'm not very good at making representative plans out of thin air. Anyway, enjoy your day, and I'm looking forward to seeing what those painted goodies will be.

Hi Gents,
Long time listener, first time caller. I have back issues of Australian Aviation magazine from various periods in the 1980s to work on my own retro stuff (nowhere near good enough to publish), so the AA Major Airline Directory from May 1989 might shed some light on Ipec's activities. The fleet at the time was made up of the DC9 IPF, plus the three Argosies IPA, IPC & IPD. According to AA "the DC9 operates 20 return flights weekly (Mon-Fri) on the route Melbourne (Essendon) to Launceston. The Argosies operate 4 return flights weekly (Mon-Thur) on a crossover between Adelaide/Melbourne/Sydney and Brisbane. A weekly return service is also operated from Brisbane to Cairns via Mackay and Townsville".
Happy to share any information on other operators (including regionals) as required.

That is some good quality insight. I'm sure Chris can use that info for the IPEC plans. It certainly saves trying to make something up. I used to to have a bunch of AA mags from the late 80's early 90's too but tossed them out years ago, regrettably. If I only I knew I'd be interested in retro stuff back then. Do those mags actually have timetable info for airlines? Do they have anything similar to fleet lists for regional airlines? That info would certainly make it easier to make packs for Australia. Regards Sean

Fleet lists, yes. Actual timetables, no. Generally speaking for the regionals they do list the ports they served as well as the fleet. Often gets down to information on individual routes and frequencies. I find timetableimages.com a good resource to plug the gaps, and I've got some actual Ansett (1986, 1998), TAA (1984) and East-West (1988) timetables, Qantas from 1985, Qantas/Australian 1993.

That's still pretty useful information, especially when sources such as timetableimages.com don't have what you need. Which is often the case for smaller carriers. I would have made a lot more regional plans and paints if they had more than just cover pictures of timetables for many airlines. I would be interested in having a look at the TAA '84 and Ansett '86 timetables, though. Would it be rude to ask if it's possible to take pictures of them or scan them at all? Regards

I have tried to re-create what you have described here, good sir. They may not be perfect but check out the flight plans archive for IPEC's FP's.

Oh geez!!! I did not expect that! Well knowing that, I don't expect you to try and scan all of that. To be truthful, I'll probably have my hands full from some time doing these Jetstars so any new plans would be put on the backburner for a while. So don't go out of your way, even if it's a only the slightest inconvenience.
