Here's TAG N751PA's little brother.... TAG also had a fair-sized fleet of DC-8/DC-9, but they were leased out and operating in colors of UPS and Purolator, respectively. The 741 and 721 were the only ones I could find in actual TAG colors. :{)

Mike, Do you have plans to paint Mount Cook's all fleet (DHT, BNI...) in old colors?

Oh yeah true. Ignore that request mike I will say this - There are a few 727's that are missing from that era: Sterling European had passenger ops into the late 1990's - along with their TNT operations. Both sets of these liveries have never been touched. The Sky Pak/TNT livery also has gone by the wayside. That ATA "Palm-Tree" livery was never touched as well - nor has any ATA special livery for their 727 fleet. (ATA's PW-powered 752 in their earlier 1990's colors is missing too.) Making requests is not necessarily "looked-down-upon" but 1.) they need to be made in that particular sub-forum here at RetroAI and 2.) done so tastefully and respectfully - as most have been of recent. We wouldn't want to burn out our very generous painters. If you have a particular painter or author in mind, feel free to tag them. Just add an "@" before typing out their "gamer-tag," if you will. Mine for example is " cgold." If done so correctly, the "@" will disappear and only the username will show - hovering over it with your mouse will show that that user is tagged in a certain post.

Mike, Do you have plans to paint Mount Cook's all fleet (DHT, BNI...) in old colors? Yes, definitely on NZM OC fleet, just getting out from under a bunch of real life this week. I am packaging some of the stuff today, all of the previewed 747s and the TAG 721 will be the first out the door, probably later today. I want to finish the NZ Link operators in full sets, so some of them may be delayed a little bit as I catch up on the painting. NZE has some more 70s-80s painting as well, and I am trying my hand at real FP to match timetables, as I have 1976 and 1977 NZE timetables, when they graduated from 'air taxi' to 'airline'. It's 1-2 aircraft, so I don't think I will stress myself too much, lol. ATA is in the works, I have collected about 200 pix for the whole fleet, never fear, I am on it. :{)

So, as a gentle reminder to all of the requests....
I call it the 'give a mouse a cookie' syndrome. I paint something, and occasionally the reply is, "that's nice but what about this...?"
To better illustrate my attitude about those who occasionally try to look at the whole forest without finding beauty in one tree, an old sign from a car garage years ago comes to mind....
Labor Rates:
$10/hour $20/hour if you watch $30/hour if you try to help $50/hour if you try to supervise
There will always be gaps in the AI traffic world, but we (the painters) do what we can when we can. 99% of the response to this painter's imperfect work has always been gracious and appreciative, and that is not lost on me.
More paints to follow.

But in all honesty, painters like yourself and others on this website keep FSX alive by revamping old flight plans and repaints. People like ya'll are underappreciated and without you guys, fsx would be stuck in 2006. Thank you Mike, and all others who are keeoing this hobby alive!!!!!

Back to ATA, the L-1011 is very much the heart of the project, since it will be another package full of leased-out aircraft, upwards to a dozen leases, plus a collection of hybrids operated by ATA. The palm tree tail is the least of the issue, lol. And, of course, the 25th Anniversary 752 and 722, those will be especially fun (not really) to sort out, but definitely worth the wait.
I'm flying today in-between painting. YMML-WSSS SQ 77W service, I did my first cold-dark start of a PMDG 777 today, it's only hard if you fixate on all of the yellow lights on the panel. Push enough buttons, and they all go out, as do your MFD warnings, and poof, the idiot (me) can fly the aircraft, lol. I didn't even do a tail-strike on takeoff.
