Dear all.
I've had a long time to reconsider several things and decided to therefore write this words.
I started participating actively in this group in March of 2007, releasing my first flightplan for Emirates 1987 and Saudia 1980. Over the years I received a lot of support from the team and members, some of which grew into friendships lasting up to the present day.
Thank you very much for the help and the friendship.
My peak was around 2008/2009 when my final year at college took place. That was the time I released and created quite a few files.
Then a new chapter in life started, when I entered university the following year. It was quite a change in the amount of facts to learn. Early in 2011 I purchased the OAG May and June 1989. That's when the idea to recreate a complete world in 1989 started. A year important to me for personal reasons. I contacted OAG and requested access to the entire data and was granted that after investing quite a tri digit amount of money. Little did I guesstimate that this prosperous project was going to give me some head ache.
I know that many hopes and supports were disappointed and I want to apologise for this inconvenience the most sincere manner.
After ending a promising relationship last year, entering working world besides the student life, having my hand badly injured little chances of it being as it was and updating to Microsoft Windows 10 under which neither FS9 nor FSX would run, I came to the conclusion that there's a need to enjoy flight simulation again. Basically only Prepar3d works fine, with the downside that most ai models aren't usable unless they're FSX native or converted.
I'm NOT withdrawing, but much more looking to forwarding my "baby" to the next generation of simmers who'll look after it and bring back the golden age of aviation. This episode is too much for a one men show and I'm sad and, yet, proud to be able to admit this. But I want to have the fun with retro flightplans as ten years ago and help or provide schedules without any force every now and then or even just have great time here with you guys.
Thank you everyone for all the support, the friendship and help and once more my sincerest apologies for the disappointment caused. I hope we can get it straightened out again. 🙂
Kind regards.
Stefan
