Thanks for your support, Peter! Very greatly appreciate the pick-me-up!Another Douglas stretch now available. They also had a -63 (coming) and a couple -62s (coming after the paintkit is done). This one is the closest thing they had to their own livery. Pacific East Air Douglas DC-8-61CF

Jeremy - thank you again for your support. It's very appreciated! Some Central American color for the start of the long American-holiday weekend. It was originally supposed to be Cayman Airways, but then some layers got deleted and the saved and then it made me mad so I did this instead. It's prettier anyway! Another parrot, but from the opposite side of the Atlantic. I went through dozens of color variations for the green and blue before settling here. Overall, I'm pretty pleased. Air Gabon Boeing 737-200C

Robert - Thank you for your support. My caffeine habit greatly appreciates it!
Some updates on the blog.
Photos aren't always readily accessible of the era in this area of the world, but that makes painting even more worthwhile. Afghanistan made it very easy to narrow into my target year. Even if the photographer didn't note the year, Afghanistan has gone through about 20 flags(!) in the last 40 years so all I had to do was glance and I could guess the date pretty closely.
The Ariana "old" colors ended up making a comeback after only a few years. The "new" colors lasted a short time, and only on this one 727 and the one DC-10.

Scott - Thank you. You've once again gone above and beyond and I'm so very thankful. I appreciate it so much! This update features a whole lot of new things, not the least of which is my first foray into the P3Dv4/5 world. I bought a fancy new computer a couple weeks back and I hadn't even considered most PCs don't include CD drives so it forced me to leave FS9 behind and finally upgrade to P3Dv5. And let me say, it's well worth it! I do plan on continuing to support FS9 as long as there's an AI model available since it's not really difficult to do. I've spent the last few days really diving into PBR textures, since they've improved greatly in P3Dv5. I have learned that most AI metallic textures aren't built the way they should be - it's more than just taking the paintkit and desaturating the layers. I've taken a page from Erez at FAIB and built them from the ground up, using the individual channels as they're designed. After spending a couple days spotting real aircraft up close and personal, I'd say Erez has it almost perfect. These DC-9s are a pretty substantial update from my last paints. They've got brand new windows, doors, tail and other details. The P3Dv4 file also comes with a new _m.dds file to really highlight all the details. At some point, I'll go back and update all of my past textures with the new features. So without further ado - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Douglas DC-9-30

My new goal as I get P3D set up is to use or convert as few out-of-date models as possible. So that means lots of updated paints for new models! Now available! Nigeria Airways Boeing 737-200

A couple brand new paints now available on the blog. These two were operating for Sabena, even though they removed the Sabena titles. P3D paints include brand new PBR texture for the Metros that match all of my other HD paints. At some point, I'll go back through and make custom metal maps where they're needed, like with aircraft that have painted engines instead. European Air Transport Swearingen Metro II
