Years ago, my good friend George Widener would paint dozens of different registrations of the US Airways fleet, because he wanted to show off all the variations in weathering and aging. I never understood it, until I started doing it. There's something to be said about the fun in beating a paint to hell. Another one where you won't need many guesses to figure out the previous owner. This one spent most of its time transporting animals and cargo in and out of West Africa to the UK and Rotterdam. West Africa Aircargo Boeing 707-320F

Another African smoker. At some point, Nigeria updated their livery with a larger tail logo and nose-glare. I went with that since I like it better. And it's also much better than when they swapped the flying elephant with a bird. Original. Nigeria Airways Boeing 707-320C

Now available - the private props of country music star Charley Pride. These aircraft didn't stay around long (about a year) before moving on to other operators and being replaced by a single Convair. Private Handley Page HP.137 Jetstream (N14RJ)

I went through about 30 different color variations before settling on these blues. I'm almost certain the hues changed over the years depending on age, when it was repainted and by whom. This is my very best approximation of 1983.
The two original B1s were 5 frames (about 9') shorter than the production B2. Like any of the 737-100s, this paint is best representation since there's no short-body model. TEA Trans European Airways Airbus A300B1

TEA Belgium has a very interesting history, especially its involvement in Operation Moses in late 1984/early 1985, which consequently led to many leasing or Haji agreements with Arab Airlines being terminated in the aftermath. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_MosesKind regards.

Chris and Christian - thank you so much for your support. It's very greatly greatly appreciated! If you haven't been to the blog lately, here's a couple things you might have missed. Douglas is trying to drive me crazy with the DC-8 door combinations. This is variation number 3 and I believe I've found at least 2 more... Royal Air Inter Fokker F27 Friendship 600
