\\Seaborne Aviation 1998 Seaborne Aviation (1992 - Present) IATA: BB ICAO: SBS CALLSIGN: SEABORNE Seaborne Aviation is a St. Thomas(STT)-based commuter airline serving the Caribbean with small props from the US Virgin Islands. The airline first started flying with DHC-6 Twin Otters on both scheduled flights and charters. By 1998, the airline had an interesting business model. At the time, the airline offered year-round scheduled shuttle services between St. Croix(STX) and STT. However, between the months of April and October, the airline based 2 aircraft in Ketchikan, Alaska(KTN) doing charters in the area. Must have been interesting ferrying those aircraft between STT and Alaska! The airline would undergo a few name changes in the coming years, including Seaborne Airshuttle and Seaborne Virgin Islands Inc. before becoming Seaborne Airlines, which it operates as today. In the late 2010s, the airline expanded to operated Saab 340s, and flies 5 at the time of posting. Repaints in the 1990s livery needed. \\Gorda Aero Service 1998 Gorda Aero Service ( -2002) IATA: DV ICAO: NONE LISTED CALLSIGN: GORDA Gorda Aero Service was based in the British Virgin Islands at Beef Island Airport(EIS). Despite their name, the small carrier did not have scheduled flights to the Gorda Airport(VIJ), at least in 1998. I was not able to find out much about this airline, including when they were founded, but the carrier was flying from EIS to St. Thomas(STT) and Captain. Auguste George Airport (NCD) with a Cessna 402C and a Cessna 208 Caravan at the time, and was listed in the OAG. The airline shut down in 2002. Repaints needed. \\Vieques Air Link 1998 Vieques Air Link (1965 - Present) IATA: VI (IATA changed to V4 since then) ICAO: VE CALLSIGN: VIEQUES" Vieques Air Link, based in Vieques(VQS) is an air taxi service based in Puerto Rico that has been island hopping in the Caribbean since 1965 and is still around today. The airline was small in size for most of it's history, but was one of the few tiny carriers in the region to be part of IATA and publish schedules in the OAG. What is more impressive is the carrier managed to crash 6 aircraft in the first 30 years it operated, and still survived! By 1998, they were shuttling pax between Vieques and nearby islands with a fleet of several BN-2s Islanders. Today, the airline is still operating in the same region, providing both scheduled flights and charter services. Repaints are needed in the 90s livery. Since then only 1 other aircraft was operated; a BN-2 for a few years. The airline was flying scheduled flights and was an IATA member, St. Barth's(SBH) is included in the destinations. \\M&N Aviation Inc. 1998 M&N Aviation Inc. (1993 - Present) IATA: W4 ICAO: WYM CALLSIGN: WORLD CLASS M&N aviation is an air charter and aircraft management company based in Puerto Rico(SJU). In the 1998s, the company was flying Cessna Caravans and turbprops on charters around the Caribbean. By 1998, they they were flying a San Juan-based Caravan on a scheduled route to points in the British Virgin Islands with flights published in the OAG. The airline would go on to have a large cargo operation with Shorts turbo props for a time and to add jets like the Falcon 900 and Citation VII and is still around today, though scheduled flights have not been operated in years. \\ALM Antillean Airlines 1998 ALM Antillean Airlines (1964-2001) IATA: LM ICAO: ALM CALLSIGN: ANTILLEAN ALM Antillean Airlines was the national airline of the Dutch Antilles, based in Curacao(CUR). The airline started as KLM's "West Indies" division, but became an independent airline in 1964. Initially, the airline operated Convair props, but soon added Fokker 27s and DC-9 jets to it's island hopping routes. The jets allowed expansion to places as far away as New York(JFK), Panama City(PTY), and San Jose, Costa Rica(SJO). 727-100s allowed further expansion to places like Chicago(ORD). Around this time as the airline grew, DC-8s were leased for flights to JFK, where KLM ground handled and maintained them. After years of boom, sadly the 1980s brought a sharp drop in tourism and the airline began to sell off assets. ALM is an airline that has been needed for the 1990s for a while. By 1998, the airline was just 3 years from failure, and most of the US network was gone. The airline was operating 3 MD-82s and 4 DHC-8-300s mostly from CUR onwards to nearby nations as well as to ATL and MIA, while frequenting SXM as well. Now, I did the best I could, but this airlines schedule was a mess! It would often show the same flight number being flown at 3 or 4 different times on the same day with slight variation (as in LM810 CUR-BON leaving at 1505, 1510, and 1515 ALL on Friday, which is obviously an error). A very odd schedule. None the less, I was able to put it together with just 1 extra DHC-8-300 which is segregated if you don't wish to include it. The DHC-8s often turn in 10-15 minutes, and the MD-80s in 25-30, so the fleet keeps rather busy. While the airline would fail in September 2001, this was actually unrelated to 9\11 and just before the terror attacks, the real reason was that the airline never recovered from the huge losses of the 1980s and rapid expansion. The flightplans along with the TFS DHC-8-300 repaint by Christian Gold and Antoine Calleja may be found here: library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=alm+1998&CatID=root&Go=SearchThe AIA MD-80 may be found here: library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=texture.zip&CatID=root&Go=SearchDHC-8-300: MD-82: Download ALM Antillean Airlines 1998 Flightplans Here

***Huge Update***Ok guys, here is a major update to the "Incomplete Airlines" file, which provides flights for airlines that are not 100% complete for 1998 to represent all flights to specific locations. Before the update, only parts of Asia were included. As of now, almost 80 countries and geographical areas are 100% complete with all scheduled flights from the OAG when this file is used in combination with the rest of the project's flightplans, and those of other authors who have made 1998 flightplans(like Aeroflot, Estonian Air, ect). The following countries and\or areas have all scheduled 1998 flights represented:Japan (plus some military, government, charter, cargo) North Korea (plus government, charter, cargo) South Korea (plus charter, cargo) Hong Kong (plus charter, cargo) Macau (plus charter, cargo) Taiwan (plus charter, cargo) Philippines (plus charter, cargo) Marshall Islands Vanuatu Wallis and Futuna Cook Islands Solomon Islands Guam Hawaii Vietnam Laos Cambodia Myanmar Mongolia Thailand Singapore Brunei Christmas Island Johnston Atol Northern Mariana Islands Federated States of Micronesia Sri Lanka China Nepal Bhutan Mauritius Reunion Mayotte Eritrea Cook Islands Seychelles Comoros Zimbabwe Nauru Cameroon Uganda Central African Republic Tanzania Burkina Faso Cape Verde Somalia Swaziland Rwanda Benin Ethiopia Republic of the Congo Nigeria Niger Cocos Islands Lesotho Togo Western Sahara Burundi Sao Tome and Principe Equatorial Guinea Guinea-Bissau Liberia Sierra Leone Guinea The Gambia Ghana Cote d'Ivorie Gabon Botswana Chad Saudi Arabia (plus some government) Sudan Kuwait (plus government) Brazil (plus charters) Netherlands Antilles(plus TFFJ and TFFG) US Virgin Islands British Virgin Islands Leeward Islands Suriname Cyprus The update has been made to the front page, but you may also download it here: Download the Incomplete Airlines 1998 Flightplans HereThe following airlines are not included entirely as they are relatively soon to be released: -Pakistan International PIA -Saudia -All Chinese carriers(though Chinese carriers flights to countries other than China on that list are all included). In the meantime, here is a beta version of Saudia 1998 Flightplans to help you fill up DHA, RUH, and JED(which was FULL of cool stuff back in 1998). All scheduled flights are included, but it lacks extra variations, Hajj flights and the large VIP fleet which will all be posted here when complete. Download Saudia 1998 BETA Flightplans HereIn addition, the following airlines have been updated due to flights I had missed before marked as codeshares that turned out to be flown by these listed airlines. Please re-download the following carriers: Download TACV 1998 v2 Flightplans Here (added OXB-LIS route that was marketed as a TAP flight. Download CityBird 1998 v2 Flightplans Here (found schedule for SABENA MD-11 flights to YUL,EWR, and GRU. Download China Airlines 1998 v2 Flightplans Here (added DMK-AMS-DMK flights) That's all for now, folks. PIA is almost done, when I get my laptop fixed I'll get it uploaded, but otherwise don't expect any flightplans for a while other than one here or there. The Chinese carriers will be finished by the end of the month most likely, but the good news is I will be packaging and uploaded all the plans with either the needed paints or links to the paints over the next few weeks. That includes the Brazilian carriers, VARIG, VASP, and most others are all complete and will be uploaded to Avsim soon. I hope you all enjoy, and thank you mikeblaze for painting SO MANY of these jets!

\\TAM Paraguay 1998 TAM Paraguay (1998-1999) IATA: PZ ICAO: LAP CALLSIGN: PARAGUAYA TAM Paraguay Express operated by ARPA (1994-2003) IATA: A8 ICAO: PAY CALLSIGN: ARPA TAM Paraguay's origins trace back to the foundation of Aerolíneas Paraguayas, or "ARPA", in 1994, based in Asunción(ASU). The carrier was launched as a small Paraguayan regional airline serving small cities with little or no service with Cessna 208 Caravans. In 1998, TAM took over the carrier and, as a response to VARIG's PLUNA operation, transferred 2 Fokker 100s from TAM and 2 Cessna 208 Caravans from TAM Express and branded the flights as TAM Paraguay and TAM Paraguay Express respectively. The Fokker 100 flights were short lived, but the Cessna Caravan flights as TAM Express continued, and were later supplemented by BAe 31 jetstreams. In 2003, down to just 1 Cessna Caravan, ARPA shut down. As far as I can tell, the Cessna 208s and Fokker 100s flew in the standard TAM\TAM Express livery. \\PLUNA 1998 PLUNA (1936-2012) IATA: PU ICAO: PLU CALLSIGN: PLUNA PLUNA of Uruguay was owned by VARIG as their Uruguayan subsidiary, based in MVD, and aircraft were often swapped back and forth or operated in full VARIG colors as needed. Prior to that, PLUNA was the government-owned national carrier of Uruguay. The airline initially flew some uncommon small props around the region, such as the Dragonfly, Potez 62, and DC-2. After WWII, the airline expanded with surplus DC-3s and began service across Argentina and later Brazil by 1948. The airline did not change much for the next 15 years, but expanded in the early 1970s to long haul flying with Boeing 707 jets and 737-200s on multi-stop routes to the USA, serving New York(JFK) and Miami(MIA). Both the US routes were suspended in the 1980s, and in the next decade, the Uruguayan government privatized PLUNA. This is where VARIG stepped in with a controlling interest, and provided the air carrier with a DC-10-30 and operational support. By 1998, the 707 had recently left the fleet in favor of the DC-10-30 leased from VARIG and it was used for multi-stop flights to Madrid(MAD). There were 3 variations of the 737-200s; standard, VARIG hybrid, and a special livery. The 737s flew mostly to Brazil and Argentina, and a focus city was launched from Buenos Aires domestic airport(AEP). It seems as though the PLUNA DC-10 may have been repainted into full VARIG colors by the start of 1998, so choose whichever livery you like for it. Note that some of the aircraft are scheduled for long ground times in Brazil, likely as maintenance was done there. Though VARIG would fail by 2006, VARIG's 49% stake in PLUNA was put up for sale, and a multinational team of foreign investors kept the airline flying. Eventually, the government allowed these investors a 75% stake in the airline, and CRJ-900s were added to the fleet in 2010, wearing a bold new livery. This new livery and the CRJs were short-lived, however, as the airline again ran into deep financial trouble, and attempts to auction off the CRJ-900s failed. The airline shut down in 2012. Raphael Rodrigues has painted all 3 livery variations on the FAIB 737-200, and they are on Avsim along with the flightplans as "Pluna_1998.zip". Jason King has painted the AIM DC-10-30 on Avsim as "aim_dc1030_pluna_newcolors_307355.zip", or you may use Raphael's VARIG paint from the VARIG package. 737-200: DC-10-30: Download PLUNA 1998 Flightplans Here

\\Passaredo 1998 Passaredo (1978 - Present) IATA: Y8 ICAO: PTB CALLSIGN: PASSAREDO Passaredo started flying in 1978, and is still around today as a Brazilian commuter airline, based in Ribeirao Preto(RAO). For the first few decades of it's life, the airline stuck to regional flying with EMB-120s. However, in 1998, the airline leased a pair of A310-300s operating charters across Brazil and into the Caribbean, in addition to 3 EMB-120s flying scheduled domestic routes. The A310s frequent both Sao Paulo(GRU) and Rio de Janeiro(GIG), so those are good places to spot them. By 1999, the A310s were disposed of, and the airline went back to regional flying, which it is still doing today with ATR-72s. Flightplans are by Raphael Rodrigues, and fleet textures for the AIA EMB-120 and TFS A310-300 by Jonathan Alba are on Avsim here: library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=Passaredo_1998.zip&CatID=root&Go=SearchEMB-120: A310-300 PW: Download Passaredo 1998 Flightplans Here

\\Island Valley Airways 1998 ??\ "Island Valley" Island Valley Airways was a Langly, British Columbia based small Canadian regional airline. With just 1 DHC-6 flying around, you won't find this airline in many places but they do fly to Victoria(YYJ/CYYJ) and will be a nice addition to the traffic at that gorgeous airport. I will do the repaint myself eventually. Any help with the ICAO code or IATA code(if there was one) is appreciated! DHC-6: Download Island Valley Airways 1998 Flightplans Here
