Airline Name: Garuda Indonesian Airways Country: Indonesia Callsign: GARUDA IATA/ICAO Code: GA/GIA Aircraft: 747, D10, AB3, D9S, F28 Notes: July was the beginning of Hajj season in 1983 so these include a couple dozen flights to Jeddah with 747s and DC-10s. Almost all domestic flights operate from Jakarta-Kemayoren, which isn't included in FS. CalClassic has a good version from 1962. The airport really wasn't updated much past that and closed in 1985. Since the domestic aircraft operate from their own bases, the utilization isn't quite what I like it to be, but it is realistic. Download: BRW_GarudaIndonesianAirways_Su83.zip

theflyingmobian: I think at this point the Qantas VH-OJC Formula 1 747 is the only remaining 747 yet to be painted in AI, but I don't think it has plans yet as that was active in 2000 to 2002.

jetstar: G-AWNA was painted up in incorrect BOAC colours when it was WFU, It was broken up in those colours in 1999. If you look closely, you can see the overpainted white where the BA titles were, and the tail is showing the speed stripe underneath the.. see part2
Jul 13, 2021 7:41:02 GMT -5
jetstar: Thin paint on the tail. They never did anything with the lower blue though. It was just homage to BOAC's original 747-136 when it was retired. Its a pity is was not preserved. Then again, BA would not pay to upkeep the 707 at Cosford, which was scrapped.
