LH and PA at Frankfurt - that takes me back. I well recall the Clipper 727s that flew the Internal German Services (IGS) to West Berlin. I have an interesting article on those services somewhere, they had to fly very specific corridors and report at certain times, etc. - the Clipper pilots thought it was some of the neve-wracking flying they ever did because one foul-up and here come the MIGs - or worse, a SAM.

There is great info about the IGS in the book Skygods: The Fall of Pan Am, which is an excellent read. Those pilots were, to say the least, nonconformists.

Andy I have that book - that may be the resource I'm thinking of. I have so much stuff, that I can't always recall where I read it...lol! I have to buy more, still - just saw a review in "Airliners" for a book called "Airliners of the 1970's" - can't pass that one up! Oh, as a complete history of Piedmont, with all kinds of memorbilia and accompanying DVD. That's $52 US, but the proceeds go to the group that maintains the Piedmont DC-3 and other Carolina-related aviation history, so it's not going to be $52 wasted.

Yay. Great Shot´s! Are you going to submitt those Planes and Flightplan´s, to Avsim, as a Bundle??? I really miss the old LH´s, DE´s (Condor with the 747´s (One of which got shot down in 1983)). Plz, do it. I think a lot of the european Simmers would like the 70´s, especially me ;D.

Hi.
Hast Du nicht vor kurzem Deine AI Flugpläne für Europäische Airlines vorgestellt? Was ist damit passiert?
Didn´t you create some european Airlines, such as DLH and so on??? What happend to them? Could share the German Airlines with me? I find it a bit funny to see modern day DLH all white Planes standing at EDDF beside a historical PAN AM.
Regards.
