Hi guys,
I'd like to say hello to all of Retro AI freaks here - thank you for all the useful informations I've got as a filthy, sneaky, unregistered user. For a few weeks now I'm really into recreating VHHX traffic. I've downloaded 1996 based flightplans for most of the airlines and after few hours in the dead of night, gathering the fleet of AI planes I've ended up with a complete pack of models (AIA, TFS, FSP, FAIB, UTT, AIM, AIG, ATC) and my eyes being dangerously red. (BTW - I haven't found Canadian 744 and Ansett Australia 743 so I've made them myself - feel free to ask for them with pm).
I'm an owner of FlyTampa's excellent Kai Tak scenery with well developed IGS13 and most of these models execute that approach acceptable from time to time (forget about a thing called runway centerline or something). Unfortunately in most cases AIs turn too early (touching down on the edge of the runway or even all the way onto the grass), go along metres from the mountains far, far away from IGS glideslope or sometimes even go across the hills etc etc. I'm not asking for a perfect landing every single time but is there any way to improve AIs checkerboard turning skills as I suppose it has something to do with AIs cfgs and fdes? I'm aware of the fact that I'm a one lazy ramp rat asking for an easy solution.

Nothing wrong with being lazy, as long as you're smart. 1. Check FlyTampa's support forum to see if this is a known problem. Maybe it's got something to do with the AFCAD and there already is a fix. 2. If only certain aircraft types miss the runway, their FDE is not up to it. In that case, you can try Jan Martin's FDE updates (requires registration at AIG) and see if they improve things. www.alpha-india.net/forums/index.php?topic=4339.0

The AI planes cannot follow the IGS route and still land on the runway, so they must start their turns early. For planes that still don't make it follow Bjoern's advice or swap flight dynamics with a similar plane that does make the turn properly.
