Hi, Yep, I had shingles and they are bad indeed. Luckily I didn't have a bad case, and I sure don't want to... Hope your enjoying Chicago Kris! It's great up here! I got some shots of Meigs from Solidarity Drive between the Shedd Aquarium and Alder Planetarium last week - the tower and terminal are still intact, that's about all. I also found some great books out of the "Images of America" series, one on Chicago aviation (some nice Midway terminal shots in the propliner days) and another on Glenview NAS. I'm looking to see if there are similar ones specifically about Midway and O'Hare. When 27 is in use at ORD, I get a lot of traffic passing over Oak Park, but sadly too high for good photography. Still, a wonderful variety overhead. MDW traffic stays pretty well clear of here, but I've seen enough southwest planes over the years - both inside and out... (Heck, I'm flying out of MDW back to OKC on WN in two weeks...) |

Hey Kristopher, I'm in Schiller Park quite often with the railroad (CN). That's not too far north of where you're located. I'm always spotting at ORD whenever I'm around. I'll drop you a PM next time I'm headed down there. Perhaps we can meet somewhere? Just noted what you do... Were you with the MStP&SSM (Soo) or CMStP&P (Milw Rd), or always with the CN? Just Curious... Also just back from seeing my Bro in MKE, boy the weather was warmer there than it has been here. I think though today reality was supposed to set in, as in a cold front coming. It was end of a era for me as it was my last free Non-Rev flight on F-9. Dec 1st Horizon is done with FJE. |

I've always worked for the CN out of Neenah and Fond du Lac, WI. Thanks for the response.... I know that area well, used to do a lot of business with Interstate Valweld, Miller, and Basler Turbo Conversions. I lived for a while next to the old Milw Rd Grand Ave Yard, then next to the CN&W Butler yards. Prior to FS was huge Train nut. |

I'll be out-of-pocket for the next two weeks, returning to OKC through the holiday and until the 3rd or 4th, but then I'll be around for good - a good deal of my time will obviously be spent on finding a place and a new job, but I have a headhunter doing the latter starting the 1st, so I'll probably just be gone a few hours here and there. I need to switch my cell phone over to a Chicago-area number, but I'll PM you the info when I do that. |
