They look great Paul, roll on the day.I reckon I was born 50 years to early for the digital age, coming up for 78. Hi Pete. I'm only 55 and now recovering from a major op! I grew up at the end of the prop era and the jets were taking over. Many a happy memory of Britannia's Connie's Duggies ETC in my youth. It was a gradual change that just crept up. All of a sudden DC-8's and 707's replaced the props, along with SE210's and 1-11's etc. A much more exciting time as you never knew what to expect when you went to spot. Now its all gone. You know in advance that there is nothing coming in that does not have orange or a harp on it. I miss the days of finding something special almost every day. It's so quite and clean nowadays. Hard to spot the planes on approach now. Can I have my smoke back? Paul That last paragraph sums it all up very well. Just replace in SWA here in the states for the harp, and its all the same.

I'm always happy to see a 757 on approach to SAN, because the shape reminds me of a DC-8.

It's the same here where I live... KROA used to be a Piedmont hub and we used to see a little bit of everything (Eastern, Piedmont, etc.). USAir was the same back in the 1990's. Once everyone started buying out everyone else, it's been very uniform... and boring. How sad is it I took pic's of a CRJ-900 here because we usually only get CRJ-200's... X-/ However, Dulles is not too far away... kinda makes up for it.

Remember the old prop jobs with affection but don't forget the 14+ hours crossing the pond and worn out aircrew crashing at the end.Unreliable engines that failed due to complexity.Yes we had variety at a cost.

hello Paul, you mentioned "uploaded". are these available for download?? david Hi David. The texture sets are being uploaded to HJG, so will be available in the future. There are still quite a few to go, and then I need to get the model base packs generated and uploaded, so they will not be available for a little while longer. Over 30 texture sets have been completed, and probably double that to go. Paul

Impatience is a sin and will be punished with eternity in hell. I know Mr. Haak is still around. He was recovering from a medical procedure and is doing well last I heard from him. The DC-8's aren't a dead project by no means. Stay tuned!
