I believe a major part of their ops are various short-term contracts, covering for other carriers across Europe. You could base the aircraft around at different airports, e.g. at EHAM (opf. Transavia), at EDDF (opf. Aero Lloyd), at EDDT (opf. Air Berlin), etc. Same goes with 747s/L1011s, they were used to operate various flights from Europe to the US on behalf of other companies.
