Hello,
Started spotting my AI traffic at night and noticed certain things which I need help to understand. For example my AI Aardvark B737-200 will display /Cabin/Logo lights just before pushback, during taxi, during take off/landing phase. I understand this is the normal(expected) in FS9. Correct?
However I'm observing on the same model that these lights will behave differently depending on the repaint. On some repaints these lights will only work during takeoff/landing phases.....?
Anyone have an explanation for this. I though that the model dictated when these lights were turned on.
Thanks, Michel

I think all "lights" that are in fact textures on the light bitmap for a repaint are controlled by that bitmap's alpha channel. Or rather, the alpha channel tells the model what to do.

Yup. Black alpha = triggered by cabin lights, white alpha = triggered by landing lights.
Or the other way around...

Thanks for this info, i didn't know about it and always wondered why some aircraft lights appeared different than others.
