Here is another aircraft covered that was and still is a staple in Russian civil aviation: The Antonov An-26. Many have FP's ready to go in the big Aeroflot 1991 package - Others are available at AvsimRus, Avsim, and so on.

I was not sure - it could have been something else completely unrelated - but I had a CTD while trying to load up traffic at Moscow's Domodedovo airport while sight-seeing An-26's. I went ahead and re-formatted each An-26 texture and re-uploaded all of the textures to my Box account.

Here is a new type that we aim to cover very well: The Ilyushin Il-62 by TCAI. The first aircraft covered is the NK-8-4 engine version - the Ilyushin Il-62. The Ilyushin Il-62M (the D-30K engine version) will be the next in line.
Ilyushin Il-62: Aeroflot (These aircraft did not last long with Aeroflot in the 1990's. They did serve out of airports like Domodedovo and Krasnoyarsk.) Domodedovo (Once the Aeroflot machines were given up, the Domodedovo based a/c went to Domodedovo Airlines for a short time.) Trans Asian (TAA) (The iconic Il-62's that served EDDF - Flew ops in and around Kazakhstan and Europe.) Atlant-Soyuz (The early livery of Atlant-Soyuz - They had leased Il-62's from Ukraine before their Tu-154's and other heavy Ilyushin's.) Georgia Air Prague (A Czech charter company out of Prague - flew vacationers from Eastern Europe to Spain, Portugal, and wherehaveyou.)

Soon there will be liveried for the Il-62M, which is equipped with D-30 engines. Only difficulty in finding and drawing relevant logos. Rare old logos is time-consuming, but most of the work is already done

Here is the next Il-62 variant - the Il-62M. This is more than likely the ones you saw flying internationally. This jet had a "newer," more "fuel efficient" set of engines (Soloviev D-30K's) and a few other subtle changes. These bad boys could fly almost 6,000 miles and visited cities like Miami, London, and Shannon. Here are some to start laying down some lead for y'all! Aeroflot (Several variations available - white and grey tails.) Aeroflot ("Gov't hybrids" - includes the Il-62MK - the salon version.) PANAF Airways (A little known charter airline out of Africa. Any info on these guys?) Alim Air (An Egyptian operator of Il-62's - Watch this space for FP's.) East Line (The iconic Domodedovo operator of the green-striped aircraft. FP's are readily available.) Air Ukraine (The PAX heavy a/c of Air Ukraine - visited cities like Toronto, New York, and Chicago.) Orient (The far-east operator of Il-86's and Tu-134's - chartered some of the Il-62's to European vacation spots.) Air India (A chartered Il-62 for Air India - to help replace the well-worn SKJ livery available.) Egretta (The iconic Palma de Mallorca visitors from Czech - Watch this space for FP's.) Atlant-Soyuz (This is to add to the existing FP's and paints available here at RetroAI or on my Box account.)

For those who remember the big Chinese AI project a few years ago, I have a little something to add to it - winglets. Many of the Y-7's had winglets and I wanted to put the SBAI Y-7 model to good use. eduardo85: If it's ok with you, I can upload these to my Box account; as you were the original artist.

It took a little work but I'll pack them up and upload them. To those who are using those FP's, use airliners.net to see which ones you want to keep winglet-less and which ones you want to apply the winglets to. Use the CIS Y-7 model available on UTT's website.

Here is a few recent updates for you all: Il-62M's CSA (NC's and OC's) Airstars (An Il-62M and Salon -MK.) An-2 (RWAI) Aeroflot KomiAviaTrans Balkan (and a few privately owned An-2's for your GA fix.) Xi'an Y-7 I uploaded what Eduardo already has released in the big Chinese AI download at Avsim - however, these have winglet options for some of the Y-7's. (as some carriers had winglets on some of the their Y-7's. Some fleets had all winglets and some had a mixture of them. Use at your own will. )

Another type has been added today to the now growing fleet of Russian aircraft available at 'The Box.'
The Tupolev Tu-204 was Russia's answer to the Boeing 757. It was also supposedly to help retire some of the older aircraft around in the late 1980's and early 1990's - but the fall of the wall saw an end to the major proliferation of this aircraft. They are still produced today but at a limited rate due to limited interest in the aircraft.
Just after the fall of the wall is when the major marketing for this aircraft was at its peak and several airlines did actually take delivery of them in the 1990's. Aeroflot received a few along with KrasAir, Siberia, Transeuropean, Orel Avia, and so on bought them to save a few $$$'s on rising fuel costs. It also offered creature comforts such as a glass , high(er)-bypass turbofan engines, and (in turn) better range.
Tupolev Tu-204 (AIA): Aeroflot (Mostly demonstrators but in full "company" colors - They match the rest of the fleet and some did fly revenue flights early on.) Orel Avia (One airline that actually did not take delivery of the aircraft but had a smart livery applied to two of them, at the very least.) Transeuropean (The iconic violet-liveried airline from Moscow's Sheremetyevo. They took delivery and flew charter ops into Europe.)
