No problem at all - I quite understood you hadn't requested.
As for all would-be requestors (as opposed to suggestors ), please consider that making a model takes a considerable amount of time and effort: over the whole of 2016, all I could come out with was TWO models. Also consider that there are some aircraft that I do wish and intend to build out of personal interest within my (limited) time and energy. Anything else will of necessity go to the bottom of the pile. I'm sure you'll all understand.
Hi. I made a related post on another thread regarding wheel wobble issued with another model. I LOVE this NORD model, however I'm having issues with it porpoising badly on landing. Is there a fix for this that anyone is aware of?
If you open the "Aircraft.cfg" file and replace the "Contact Points" section with this: [contact_points] static_pitch = 0.7056 static_cg_height = 9.474 tailwheel_lock = 0 gear_system_type = 0 max_number_of_points = 7
As for the porpoising on final, I'm afraid it's beyond my capacities at the moment. A FDE guru would probably be able to fix it, though.
On a final note, when you have an issue like this with a release, contacting the author directly will get you an answer much faster - we're in fact REQUIRED by flightsim.com to add such contact info in the readme.txt you got when you download the pkg. Posting in a forum the author might or not see is definitely not the best way around.
Exit runway when able
Sorry it took me so long to get back on this post. Thanks a bunch. And, yah, sorry about the way I popped this on the board. I've been in this long enough to know there is a better way.
Excellent work Chris! It looks so much better than Rick Piper's old and decrepit Viscounts. Can't wait for more repaints with this, and I might just make some considering I've been dabbling with repainting recently
wasn't lying when I said I'd make a paint whipped thisup in under 30 min, just a little paint of what the Viscount may have looked like had it served a little longer with United might make a Continental meatball one as well if anyone actually wants this paint, just PM me and I'll toss you it I uploaded the pic to imgur because the forum decided no uploading attachments for me I guess
FSX Retro Flyer: About the Let-410 of Uganda Airlines, I also couldn't find a picture of it, but I presume that it had same cheatlines and colors of the previously used Fokker 27.

chasensfo: I do know of pics of the Zambian Express ATR, but it is a little complicated for me, going to leave that to other people. I haven't painted a Let 410 yet, also something I have no plans on doing anytime soon. Sorry. Might do the Air Ivorie Fokkers, though

Just snooping around: There's a small texture issue with MikeBlaze's recent Qantas 767s, the registrations on the right side are mirrored and are thus backwards.
May 2, 2021 2:25:01 GMT -5
chasensfo: You should let him know in his thread or via PM then

FSX Retro Flyer: Actually Michael Pearson in AVSIM released repaints for the FAIB 767-200 & -300 for Qantas recently and Saudia repaints, including the FAIB 747-400

FSX Retro Flyer: Thanks for the LAPA release and Dinar update but, where are the paints of Dinar's fleet? The pastes are still empty just like the first time I downloaded it.

darrenvox: Hi guys wassup

theflyingmobian: Any chance of Ansett New Zealand making it into the 1998 project? They were still active around that time.
Jun 5, 2021 23:32:31 GMT -5
FSX Retro Flyer: Well, Ansett Australia is already included but in the Incomplete Airlines folder. About Ansett New Zealand, they may add and work with it in a near future.
Jun 9, 2021 21:12:50 GMT -5
chasensfo: Ansett is in progress, but so are like 30 other airlines so we'll see when it's done. Should be this year, maybe this summer.
Jun 10, 2021 16:04:30 GMT -5
chasensfo: Actually whoops, Ansett NZ isn't even in the schedule I bought LOL so it'll be a while until someone is willing to go into the OAG to do it. Large airlines from the OAG vs a schedule take WAY longer, so hopefully Miggy wants to follow up with Ansett NZ...
Jun 10, 2021 16:05:52 GMT -5
theflyingmobian: Ansett Australia's 767-200 was my first ever time on a plane so I'm looking forward to having them in my FSX world alongside Ansett NZ if that ever makes it in.
Jun 11, 2021 0:13:34 GMT -5
chasensfo: Yes, I am very excited for them too, but don't have the time to take them on myself sadly. Miggy does a great job, talked to him today he's still actively working on it
Jun 11, 2021 2:29:09 GMT -5
theflyingmobian: The 747-300/400s. 767-200/300s, 727s and 737-300s all have HD paints over on AVSIM for FAIB and AIA models, There's also a Kendall SAAB 340 on there assuming it's part of the flight plans.
Jun 11, 2021 4:09:30 GMT -5
chasensfo: Yes the regionals will be included, and yes the whole 1999 fleet is done (they joined Star Alliance in 1999 and that fleet has the logo lol)
Jun 11, 2021 12:27:57 GMT -5
theflyingmobian: Damn you're on top of this lol
Jun 11, 2021 19:08:35 GMT -5
chasensfo: People usually reach out to me when they paint late 90s fleets and ask about flightplans
Jun 12, 2021 8:01:49 GMT -5
FSX Retro Flyer: Here are my huge and humble thanks to Michael Pearson for creating these magnificent paints for the post-CAAC Chinese airlines!
Jun 16, 2021 11:24:16 GMT -5
chasensfo: Hell yeah, and soon the 1990s airports of China will all be open for business
