The '800 will also be uploaded, but I need time to package it first

Hey Christian (I mentioned this in another thread) -- the download from flightsim.com seems to have only the short-nosed no radar models in all folders except for the slipper_radar, which has a model that has the correct pointier radar nose (and slipper tanks as indicated). I opened each in MCX and really studied them all and saw no difference whatsoever except for the one mentioned.

I am itching to get my hands on a 700 model with a radar nose and no slipper tanks. Let me know if I am missing something here...

oops.

Here's the radar (no slippers).

note: the "nose face" can be confirmed by looking at the TCA repaint - you'll see the TCA logo on the nose tip. That is a short nose model, but with a different texture mapping for the nose cone.

Please confirm the attachment fixes the issue with the radar model and I'll update the flightsim.com upload.

Hey Christian -- not sure why, but I am seeing the ghost of a TRANS CANADA AIRLINES paint bleeding through underneath my Air Canada paint. Any idea why?

This is REALLY weird.

That would mean you're getting the alpha channel from the TCA repaint with the Air Canada one. I just checked the actual file from Flightsim.com and the Air Canada alpha is what should be (lower fuselage only, etc...).

If you're on FSX or later, maybe the texture conversion glitched?

I made my own texture from the included paint kit. I looked at the alpha for the fuselage area in the paint kit and it seems to be blank. There was not any detectable outline area in it for the TCA fuselage title (or panel lines) to be seeping through. It’s only visible in the sim. Not in MCX to check the paint rendering. I only saw it once it was loaded and started up. I will try deleting it altogether and replacing or just taking a single pixel row and scaling it across that area to even the whole alpha layer out.

I don’t know enough about making actual models — I thought perhaps you had somehow built that into the material. If it’s simply an alpha texture issue in the paint kit I can surely fix it.

OK -- so I darkened the alpha layer in the paint kit to sleuth this out -- and there it was -- the full alpha layer for a TCA Viscount 700...

Other option is to use the alpha from the supplied blank textures
