Il-18 it is Are you planning other variants of the Il-18 series as well? (Il-20/22/38 etc) Depends. Maybe for the least exotic variants. I've got to finish the -18 first! The thing is, the more junk you're hanging on an airframe, the bigger the changes you're forcing on the texture mappings. Exit runway when able Christian

Definitely can’t wait to see that duo, I think we’ll all be waiting with open arms for those to be finished.

I’m liking that Il-18 model chrisP. Can’t wait to paint some aircraft on it.

The Comets are released - get them on Flightsim.com (search for "Christian Page Comet")!
Included are 3 variants: Comet 4, 4B and 4C Each variant has two models: with and without decals textures (used for additional wing and fuel tank details) As usual, 7 LODs per model and PSD paintkit.
Also available are textures for: Aerolineas Argentinas (Comet 4) Mexicana (Comet 4) Olympic (Comet 4B) British European Airways - BEA (Comet 4B "Red Square" and "Speedjack") Middle East Airlines (Comet 4C) Sudan Airways (Comet 4C) United Arab Airlines (Comet 4C) Dan-Air London (Comet 4 and 4C)
(plus a DWHT B707-366C for United Arab Airlines)
I won't be releasing new flightplans for these since they either fit in flightplans I already released (ex Mexicana) or I'm missing aircraft models/repaints to build new flightplans (ex United Arab Airlines)
Exit runway when able and have a happy 2022!

Current work in progress while I wait for some more documentation on the Il-18... I know only two airlines ever flew them, but that's two airlines I want traffic for Besides, this thread is called "New obscure and substandard models"... Exit runway when able Christian

Спасибо за ТУ-104 - очень хорошо. Does that perhaps mean that sooner or later perhaps more aircraft from the СССР will find the way to your hangars? Kind regards.

Спасибо за ТУ-104 - очень хорошо. Does that perhaps mean that sooner or later perhaps more aircraft from the СССР will find the way to your hangars? Kind regards. Hello Stefan, Thanks for the kind words - unfortunately, I never, ever announce in advance the models which I intend to work on. As a reminder to all and sundry, I first go about picking an airline I'd like to have in my sim. Assuming I have the timetable data, the next step is checking if there are AI models available that I'm comfortable with - and bear in mind that "comfortable" is relative and can change over time. If some AI models are missing, I then evaluate the ROI of building them: what other airline in 1969-71 used that particular aircraft? are there five trillion variants, etc...? Since I can only manage two or three new models a year, that really is the crucial point. Because of that decision process, second-guessing my plans really is a futile endeavor, but thanks for watching Exit runway when able Christian
