For those of you who like 70's stuff, I have uploaded textures for the following aircraft to go with the 1975 AMX flightplans. EvolveAI DC-10-30, AI-Aardvark DC-9-30 and Dee Waldron DC-8-50. They should be up on Avsim in the next day or two.
Thanks. RPM.

Hi Michael. For the 1974 plans the repaints will need to the same as the F-27/B720. AP-AYM, the DC-10 was the first one in the later scheme and that was the early 80's I think. I saw it on its first visit to LHR one Sunday. I'll have to check my log for the date. Paul

I'm not sure how they would work as AI, but if memory serves, someone did repaints of every PIA aircraft they ever flew in all the schemes. I don't know if they are on Avsim, but for sure they are on Flightsim.com.

Paul Hi Paul, you're right - I can remember seeing PIA 707s and DC-10s at Frankfurt (EDDF) in 1980/81 already wearing the 80s livery you mentioned. I just found an interesting website called "The history of PIA" with a lot of background-info. They even have a picture of a PIA-Trident. Apparently PIA operated this type of aircraft between 1966 and 1970: www.historyofpia.com/olddays.htmHere are some nice pictures of the mid-70s-livery you were talking about: www.historyofpia.com/liverymid70s.htm(I always thought the DC-10s were delivered in the 80s livery...) And these are pics from the 80s: www.historyofpia.com/livery80s.htmKind regards, Michael

Hi Michael.
The legacy of a plane spotter!!
The Tridents used to be regular in LHR up to 1970. My log shows that I managed to see two of them in 1969.
A good site you have found there about PIA.
Now we just need some one to paint the fleet!!

Check out flightsimpakistan.com/fsp/frame.htm . Unfortunately, they do not have the Trident but they do have the Tu-154 in PIA colors (leased by PIA in the late '90s). As far as FR hit is concerned, a lot of that is personal preference. I used to get really upset about the stutters at busy airports when I first got FS9. But the other features (AI, ATC) made it worthwhile anyway. Slowly I got used to ignoring the stutters. Now I can tolerate anything above about 5 or 6 FPS. Less than that and I have to start turning the traffic setting down below 100%. Turning off GA traffic at busy airports helps a little. Andy
