The reason I use one minute is because that pretty much guarentees that it will use the next plane out instead of possibly useing another aircraft later in the day. At a hub airport it really doesn't matter if the planes turns around in little time because there are so many planes you won't notice it but at airports with fewer flights this is where a plane can sit a long time on the ground if I do not use my 1 minute rule.

I also use short turns to keep things moving, through I find 5 minutes works best for me. Whatever works The default 15 min turn does have a bad habit of orphaning routes and breaking turn arounds, especially for smaller airlines. For example I had to use 1 minute turns for Loganair because anything else made all the Orkney routes become orphan route trips. I don't think they had 58 Islanders anyways
