Hi, so far there have been quite a few SAA 747 repaints for the Aardvark models, including ZS-SBS, ZS-SAZ and Michael Pearson retro 742, 743 and 74L in some variations.
I am making some plans for the late 90s, 1999 fleet, and would like to use the whole SAA 744 fleet. There are 6 other 744, and as they all had names it would be nice to see them individually represented in FS. I don't know if Michael Pearson is on this forum, but it would be great to have a matching 744 ZS-SAV 'Durban' in old colours (it stayed in old colours still January 2000). I believe Federico Permutti painted the 744s in new colours, so perhaps the same paints could just be modified slightly with registrations and names. The missing paints are:

ZS-SBK The Great North and the nameless ZS-SBS were originally intended for Philippines, hence the GE engines different from rest of SAA 744 fleet, and only in 1998 I believe; SAA deployed them on the CPT-JNB-SID-ATL-JNB-CPT route (or JNB-CPT-SID-ATL-CPT-JNB depending on timetable day).
one 747-300 is missing too: ZS-SAU Cape Town(starboard)/Kaapstad(port). Old colours, new colours, or new colours with Nigeria Airways titles as well. www.airliners.net/photo/South-African-Airways/Boeing-747-344/0227455/L/&sid=31656868e6f435784fda785698ce352c
Hard to believe 747-400 are already part of retro traffic... but i guess they are
