Hi,
I am trying to find
1. Air New Zealand DC-8-52, and 2. The Swiss Air fleet to go with the retro flight plans
DC-8-53 DC-8-62 747-200 DC-10 DC-9-32 Convair cv-990
Any ideas where I can get these.
Thanks, Andrew

Hi Andrew, unfortunately there aren't many AI-aircraft around for Swissair. I use the following: DC-9-14 by Brent Blackburn: bbdc910swissair.zip (avsim) DC-8-62 by CalClassic. (Part of a classic AI-package) www.calclassic.com/files/ai2k4EJ.zip747-300 by Pantee Farhangi: fsp744_swiss_air.zip (avsim) I hope these will help you! Best regards Michael

I have found that using a few flyable aircraft as AI a/c doesn't hurt my frame rate noticeably. I use AI aircraft when available, of course, but when not available I look for a non-complex flyable version -- preferably one designed for FS2002. Using flyable aircraft for Swissair might cause a frame rate drop at Zurich or Geneva but probably would not be bad elsewhere.

Hi Andrew.
There are more retro flight planners than retro painters so it can be a while before repaints catch up with the flight plans.
I also have used flyable aircraft as a stop gap. It only has problems at home base due to the amount on the ground at once.
There are also gaps without AI models that are not available so again improvisation is needed to get over this.
At the end of the day it all boils down to how powerful your system is if it can cope with all those 52,000 poly models lying about!!
