Hey guys,
I recently decided to organize all my scenery and traffic in FS9 into folders dictated by decade within my Addon Scenery folder. For example, I have a "90s" folder. When I activate the "90s" folder within FS9 and restart, all logic from what I've done tells me that I should have the desired scenery and traffic of that decade I've put in that folder. Well, I do, but for some reason the default scenery for every airport is there along with the add-on scenery bleeding thru. This is the same for every decade. All the ground textures bleed through too. Can't really figure out what I need to do to get rid of the default scenery, I never had this issue before I consolidated my scenery by decade. I've decided I should probably reach out here and see what others come up with.
I've looked for answers on a couple of other forums with no luck. Hopefully someone has an idea here.
Thanks guys!

I've run into the same problem and have been unable to find a solution. I'm still trying to figure it out, I'll keep you posted.

I don't know. Perhaps there is a limit to the number of exclude files you can have in a single scenery folder? I'm assuming you moved all the exclude BGL files into your 90's folder along with the other BGL files.

Yup, that's what I'm leaning towards too. It seemed like such a simple thing to do, I didn't think it would cause such a mess. Now a lot of the add-on scenery isn't showing up period and the airports are default in some time periods, with the add-on AF2 files not working either. Aye yi yi what a mess! Oh well, this is why I backed up all my scenery downloads over the years. I may just have to manually install all the scenery again and do it the old way...ugh. My only advice to those who have thought "Hey, why don't I make folders with the different decades for my scenery and traffic?", please, don't do it. I know it is a pain to check and uncheck all the boxes in FS9 for what addon scenery you want to load when you restart, but this is probably the only safe way to get the desired traffic and scenery from a certain decade with no issues. It's gonna take a while to clean up this mess I created.
