Hi Christian,
These are fantastic! I'm going to have to add them, along with your flightplans, to my system.
Great job! Kurt

Hi Christian. Looking good!! Take it from me that the LHR flights then were 727, DC-9 and DC-8-63's. The DC-10 was rare. It was not until the early 80's they became regular on that evening flight. Paul

Very nice repaints. What paintkit do you use for the DWAI DC8?

Great Job, Chris!
I just asked myself: When did Iberia first introduce the current livery? I remember seeing 727s in the new colours roundabout 1978/1979. On the other side a lot of DC-8s and DC-9s stayed in service with the old colours until 1983/1984.
Kind regards!
Michael

Paul Hello Paul, In that case, we're both deceived by our imperfect senses ;D The schedule is for the Summer of '77. I've "highlighted" the DC-10 flight Just click on the thumbnail - the original img is about 1Mb If you wish, I can try to tag the LHR DC-10s in the flightplans so that you can turn them into DC-8s. Michael Hello Michael, AFAIK and according to A.net, the new livery was introduced very late in '77 or very early in '78. There are some pics of IB aircraft in the timetable but there is no hint of the upcoming livery. Last chance to see! Christian

Very nice repaints. What paintkit do you use for the DWAI DC8? Ralf Hello Ralf, ahh.. the paintkit...the $60.000 question! My pk started life as Dee's and Michael Verlin's from Avsim ( library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=89116). The first thing I do when I start painting a new aircraft model is to make a complete metallic texture (including very light alphas); that always comes in handy, esp. for the '70s, since there's always some metal to be seen, and sometimes in surprising places: take a look at the engine pods on the 727: It also seems like I added something every time I painted a DC-8 (details traced from a 3-view drawing, detailed -and repositioned- windows and window rings, fixed nacelles, add shadows and/or reflections, etc...). Rivet counter. I know. It's been said before At this point, there must be something like 50 or so layers, layer groups... most of them with French names. It's Photoshop CS2 and converting the layer groups to PSP would be a major pain. If you wish, I can send you the bare metal as a bmp, though. Exit runway when able Christian

Christian Hi Christian. Its the normal case of the timetable saying one thing but in reality they used different equipment. ;D I have quite a few pictures of the IB flying pencils. The one that was normally on the LHR run was EC-BQS, that I do remember. The 747's also popped up now and again. Does the time table have the DC-9F flights??? Make me feel old thinking about those good old days Paul

Its the normal case of the timetable saying one thing but in reality they used different equipment. ;D quite true About the 9Fs, I don't intend to do the "Servicios de carga" bit, but it's only 4 pages in the timetable - I can scan them and e-mail them to you if you wish. Exit runway when able. Christian

Hi Christian,
I would not even try to work my way thru 50+ layers in a foreign language and try to understand what PSP did to them. The 60.000$ question, LOL, that's why I asked the audience ;-) I know about the paintkit you started with and will check it. The metal textures would be very much appreciated, full credits will be given. Thanks in advance,
Ralf
