I'm just working on Air Jamaica 1975. Sheppard Avery's 1980's repaints will work for the DC9 and 727. The livery was almost the same in the 1970's.
Would anyone like to repaint a DC8 (short and/or stretch) in Air Jamaica colors?

Hi Andy.
Sorry I can't help with repainting, but for your info you need a -61 and 62 repaint.
They had two -61's. 6Y-JGG and 6Y-JGH and one -62 6Y-JII. I'll have to check when I get home that was still correct for 1974. It was for 75 and up.
Also could you do Heathrow flight separately and only use the -62. The -61's only came in when the -62 was tech so that was only a handful of times a year.

For AI purposes a DC8 is a DC8 as far as I'm concerned. Right now I'm using a flyable DC8 from HJG in the flightplan. It's not much of a hit on FR since there are so few DC8 flights in the schedule. Got Singapore 1975 coded. Could use a 737-200 and 747-200, I already found an AI-friendly 707.
Thanks,

Just a suggestion, it would make things much easier for us painters, when you request something if you could perhaps post a link to the livery in question. That way it eliminates any confusion as to variations, and also saves us time when evaluating whether or not to take on the job.

I am using the A300 in place of the DC-8. I would use the HJG DC-8s but they are not correct they are missing the thin pink line. To me this takes away from the beuty of the Airplane.

Hello,
I have Dee's DC-8-61 painted up. With a little work, it could be ready for posting on AVSIM.
Take care, Kurt

Good Morning,
Good thing I looked it over -- I'd left off the flags, plus some other things needing cleaning up. I uploaded it to AVSIM a few minutes ago.
Take care, Kurt
