Hello, Wondering if any of you have a quick method/process or perhaps a tool that can quickly add entries in the aircraft.cfg file? Some type of bulk update that can look at all the texture folder and make a corresponding entry in the aircraft.cfg file? For example I am looking at my AI Aardvark B727-100 aircraft folder in there is close to 150 texture folders in there. Each needing to have an aircraft entry in the aircraft.cfg file to be visible in the simulator. This is quite a time consuming process if each entry is done manually.
I have named my texture folders in the following naming method as an example:
texture.AIA_B721_AirCanada70s_ACA_AIR CANADA_GATE
The parts of the name could be used for the following purpose: Texture= AIA_B721_AirCanada70s_ACA_AIR CANADA_GATE title= AirCanada70s Description= AirCanada70s Parking Code= ACA Call sign= AIR CANADA Parking Type= GATE Manufacturer= AIA Aircraft Type=B721
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Regards, Michel YUL

Hello Michel, I don't know of a tool to do automatically what you're describing, but I would personnally use Excel: the texture line is a concatenation of the info from the other lines and tge title is the same as the description. You could also build a table on another worksheet with airline names, parking codes and call sign. That could be used to populate the other lines with vlookups. Once all the lines of your entry are filled, just copy/paste in the aircraft.cfg
Exit runway when able

Hi Christian, I have managed to export an aircraft's folder directory onto a text file using the command prompt which lists all the texture folders and pasted the result into Excel. Should be easy enough to create the aircraft entries for the aircraft.cfg file moving forward.
Thanks, Michel
