Airline Name: ASA Atlantic Southeast Airlines Country: United States Callsign: ASEA IATA/ICAO Code: EV/ASE Aircraft: DH7, DHT, EMB Notes: Ex-Southeastern Embraers still in Southeastern colors, likely still with full Southeastern titles. I suspect the figured it was close enough until they could do a full repaint. Download: BRW_ASAAtlanticSoutheastAirlines_Su83.zip

AKX Airport wasn't international in 80s. It operated domestic flights only.

AKX Airport wasn't international in 80s. It operated domestic flights only. Possibly, but Ariana did use it as a scheduled stop on the way to SVO, likely for refueling on the cargo runs.

Airline Name: Trans-Jamaican Airlines Country: Jamaica Callsign: IATA/ICAO Code: JQ/JQA Aircraft: BNT, BNI Notes: Includes a couple flights to GDT and GCM. Both operated in the 80s, though I can't be totally certain they operated in '83. Either way, it adds variety and some additional flights to otherwise inactive aircraft. Airline Name: American Central Airlines Country: United States Callsign: IATA/ICAO Code: JR/ Aircraft: EMB, PAG Notes: Pretty much each Embraer had a different color scheme. I can't find evidence of what the Pipers looked like - my best guess is generic general aviation colors or old Mid-Continent colors Download: BRW_AmericanCentralAirlines_Su83.zip

Hi Brian,
Thank you so much for this tireless project. One question I have is what flightsim do you use? I am re doing my retro based on 1983 and your plans but wondering if you use FS9, FSX or a P3D version. Would be interesting to know as I would like to have my retro in FSX but preferably P3D accepting of the scenery limitations of a modern day layout.
Kind Regards
Miles

Kind Regards Miles I'm still using the tried-and-true FS9, but only because I've never taken the time to upgrade everything to P3D. I've got a system that can easily handle it, but my spare time is spent painting and building flightplans. At some point, I'll probably take a weekend and fully cut over. I agree with Chasen - P3D will start to see more and more retro airports. Right now, there seems like they're all FS9, but that's because FS9 has been around for 15 years and lots of time to develop!

Thanks Brian for your reply,
I think i will reload P3Dv3 or earlier as most ai models have ported over or already work unlike P3Dv4. IF that does not work back to trusty FSX.
Cheers
Miles
