I've actually already had the AFCAD taken care of for a long time, I just never got around to making any buildings to go with it (the default ones, to put it lightly, are inaccurate and misplaced) so now I'm gonna make an entire custom 'port using said AFCAD. But thank you anyway It might still come in handy for figuring out some nooks and crannies

It has nothing that isn't on Google Earth or Historic Aerials, so yours if probably way more accurate if you did it according to charts.

Are you doing this in one go, i.e. export all custom buildings as one model or are you modeling the buildings in a single scene and then export them separately?

I'm starting to experiment doing it in sections. All the passenger terminals in one BGL, cargo in another, maintenance in another, or if the airport is divided into sections (ie. JFK Cargo Areas A B and C) then I complete it one section at a time. This makes texture atlas generation a lot easier, which in turn creates better performance in frame intensive areas like JFK. Here's the incomplete passenger terminal section:

Just one more preview, and then back to work. The almost finished and fully re-textured Pan Am terminal, ready to be placed in the Passenger BGL of the 1972 version.

Affirmative about the performance aspect of scenery design.
And the model looks great! Too bad that there aren't any movable jetways for FS9.

Didn't the early Worldport enable the boarding of a Boeing 747 through three aerobridges eg two port and one starboard door?
Kind regards.

Looks like you may be right Stefan. Looking at old photos some gates do have a starboard entry door. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll get right on it.

I didn't like the way the Eastern Terminal looked, so I redid it, and I'm loving the result I'm sure you will too.
