The mid 90's Europe charter thread

Hi everyone!!

It seems like so far we have a decent mid 90's AI population with the flight plans released out there based on timetables.

However, it seems like there's quite a lot of gaps to fill in specially if we look at Europe where dozens of charter carriers started to roar here and there often standing out over traditional carriers with colorful/exotic liveries.

I plan to cover as many of those as I can such as Air tours, Caledonian Airways, Airworld, Air UK Leisure, Oasis, Centennial, Futura, TEA, Noble Air, Sultan Air, Air Europe, Noman, Air Alfa, Challengair....and well, list will grow with time. Will try my best to even include hybrid liveries.

What exactly will I do? Repaints with fictionalofficialoidish representative flight plans based on what I find on a.net given that most of this carriers are charters and might not have fixed schedules and, even if they did, those are really hard to find. At least the flight plans will depict whats on video/photographic references.

Given that those flight plans will be done based on a mix of references + criteria, users might differ somehow. What I will do is to include the raw file for those FP's for users to modify them to taste.

I was planning to come up with one big package covering everything. However, that may take a lot of time given that sometimes I have to be away of this due to other occupations. I will release them carrier by carrier to avoid that.

I have pretty much started this with "Another round of Belgian ales..." so I will continue with this Portuguese one based in Faro.

Even though my sim is based on an earlier period, i still remember the 90's as a thriving charter business in Europe.

Yes, I think that one is next. There is also this one Air Atlantis. Even though that was out there up to 1993 I was not going to do it because the frames needed I already have them "occupied" on the TAP 1994 timetable I did months ago. I decided to do it just as "placeholder"

Thank you for that list. I have a timetable for Citybird from I think 1998 but I think it is incomplete or has international flights only. At least it will give a starting point closer to real world when it comes to flight plans.

One quick small edit on this paint: The yellow stripe that goes over the aircraft is slightly off from is lower counterpart.

Yes, I will fix that tomorrow. It is a bit hard dealing with FAIB 732 paint kit since they didn't do one for the FS9 in 1024. When I resize the 2048 results into those misalignments.

There is a Britannia hybrid that will go along with it.

Also, one small cool observation about the Air Columbus 733 - it's been given a crown.
I can't find out where that is mapped. The engine pylons are slightly off, as well.
I don't remember what the white livery looked like...

These mappings...caramba. Plus it's been a while without painting on some of these so, no pun intended, need to brush up

I will update that texture but to avoid to many files on avsim, I will just post the file here.

All right,

I sent that 737 to cockiness rehab, and uploaded a fix.

Also I fixed the Air Sul issue pointed out by Christian.
