Hi All. The DC-8-62s have been packaged and uploaded. I will start the 73 texture processing tonight. Paul Sorry for my stupid question, but where I can download this wonderful model? I reviewed the HJG and simaviation sites, but found nothing.

You'll just have to wait a little bit longer. Paul

Paul Well, nothing wrong with the model, checked all engines and all lods. Did multiple push-back to power downs, and nothing out of the ordinary seen. I can see nothing wrong David, so a screen dump is the only way I cam going to see the problem. Paul

Hi All. Finally finished testing and packaging up the 73 and 73F textures. It took longer than anticipated, as I had to fix a few errors in the original textures. Hopefully I did not let any through, but I think I'm only human OK, here are some pictures from testing of the textures. A different format this time, as I'm not sure how much space the forum has and I've used quite a few MB's. Image shack is still not open to business, so tried photo bucket. Hopefully this will work. s1364.photobucket.com/user/paulphaak/slideshow/Now to do the final model check, get the documentation for the 73 srs and help files etc made, and the models will be good to go! I need a vacation from texture processing Paul

Hi All.
Just to keep you informed on what,s going on.
The testing of the 73 & 73F has completed and the models have been packaged and uploaded.
I've written a basic help file with some of the normal AI no shows covered and I am now writing a document on how to convert the textures for AI use.
I also have to convert the last uploaded texture sets as well.
Which bring me to another question.
To let me just concentrate on the modeling, I would like a volunteer or two to do the texture conversions for me. It's not hard, just repetitive. The only tools required are DXTbmp (freeware), and something like PSP for manipulating the BMPs. As I said, I'm writing a document to explain how to do this.
Any takers please post here.
This help will enable me to get the modeling work done a lot quicker, as at the moment, I'm doing everything, so any help is gratefully received.
Thanks..
Paul

Hi, Paul! If it is an imagetool.exe, I can help. Hi Aleck. Thanks for the offer. I think you can use Image tool instead of DXTbmp to replace the alpha channel and convert the texture to a TGA. I have not used image tool for some time, as I find DXTbmp much easier. You will need a paint package like PSP or Gimp to resize, rotate, cut and paste to the main BMP's. It will be fully documented from start to finish in the document I'm going to write. If you think you can handle that, PM me and I'll get the document to you as soon as it’s finished. Thanks again for your offer to help. Paul
